Privacy Policy

What we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Effective October 6, 2026

Overview

Mobile Precision Detailing (“we,” “us”) is a mobile auto detailing business serving Salem, Oregon and the Willamette Valley. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit our website, request a quote, book an appointment, create a customer account, or communicate with us by phone, email, or text message.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your mobile phone number or text-messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Quote requests: your name, phone number, email address, city or service location, the service you're interested in, vehicle details (such as year, make, model, size, or condition), and anything you write in the request.
  • Bookings: the details you enter in our online scheduler, such as your name, contact information, service address, appointment time, and selected services.
  • Customer accounts: your email address and password (passwords are stored only in hashed form by our authentication provider), name, phone number, vehicles, service addresses, maintenance plans, notification preferences, and any photos you upload.
  • Communications: the content of texts, emails, and calls you exchange with us, and your messaging preferences.

Information collected automatically

  • Website activity: pages viewed, the page that referred you, marketing campaign tags in the link you followed (such as utm_source), general device type, and actions like tapping our phone number. This is tied to a random visitor ID stored in a cookie, not to your name, unless you later submit a form or log in.
  • Text-message activity: whether messages we send were delivered, whether you clicked a link in a message, and your replies.

Service history. We keep records of the services we've performed for you, including dates, services, and amounts, so we can recommend maintenance, honor warranties or guarantees we've offered you, and run our business.

How we use your information

  • To respond to quote requests and provide estimates.
  • To schedule, confirm, perform, and follow up on appointments.
  • To operate your customer account, vehicle records, and maintenance plans.
  • To send service messages you request, such as confirmations and reminders.
  • To send promotional offers, only where you have agreed to receive them (see Text messaging below).
  • To understand which pages and marketing campaigns are working, and to improve our website and services.
  • To prevent fraud, protect our business and customers, and comply with legal obligations.

Text messaging (SMS)

We send text messages only to people who have agreed to receive them. Having your phone number on file (for example, from a past appointment) is not treated as consent to marketing texts. We only send promotional texts when you have separately agreed in writing, such as by checking an SMS consent box on our website or signing a consent form, and we keep a record of when and how you agreed.

  • Opting out: reply STOP (or STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT) at any time. You'll get one confirmation and no further marketing texts. Reply START to resubscribe.
  • Help: reply HELP, or call or text 503-385-3896.
  • Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
  • Your opt-in and opt-out records are kept so we can honor your choice, including after you opt out. See our SMS Terms for full program details.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. This excludes only the service providers listed below that deliver the messages on our behalf.

How we share your information

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the business, and only for that purpose:

  • Vercel: website hosting.
  • Supabase: our customer database, account logins, and file storage.
  • Acuity Scheduling: online booking. Information you enter in the scheduler is also handled under Acuity's own privacy policy, including any payment you make there. We do not receive or store full payment card numbers.
  • Twilio: sending and receiving text messages.
  • Resend: sending email confirmations, reminders, and notifications.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information.

Cookies & analytics

We use a small number of first-party cookies. We do not use third-party advertising or social-media tracking pixels on this website.

  • Sign-in cookies: keep you logged in to your customer account.
  • mpd_session_id (up to 180 days): a random visitor ID for our own website analytics.
  • mpd_first_touch (up to 90 days): remembers how you first found us (referring site and campaign tags).
  • mpd_sms / mpd_sms_flag (up to 30 days): set only if you tap a link in one of our text messages, so we can tell whether that message led to a booking.

Our booking page embeds Acuity Scheduling, which may set its own cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, but we won't be able to attribute your visit to a campaign.

How long we keep it

We keep customer, appointment, and service records for as long as you're a customer and for a reasonable period afterward for warranty, tax, and record-keeping purposes. Quote requests that don't become appointments may be kept so we can follow up and avoid duplicate records. Text-message consent and opt-out records are kept for at least as long as needed to prove consent and to honor opt-outs. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see Your choices).

Security

Our website uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). Customer records are stored with providers that encrypt data and restrict access, and inside our systems access is limited to authorized staff. No system is perfectly secure, so please contact us right away if you believe your account or information has been compromised.

Your choices

  • Text messages: reply STOP to any message.
  • Email: use the unsubscribe link in a marketing email, or contact us.
  • Access, correction, or deletion: contact us and we'll confirm your identity and respond within a reasonable time. We may keep records we're legally required to retain, plus a minimal record of your opt-out so we don't contact you again.
  • Your account: you can update your profile and vehicle details from your account at any time.

Children

Our services and website are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our business or the law changes. We'll post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change materially affects how we use information we already have, we'll let affected customers know before it applies.
